******s treatment

This law company is very ******s, they do not want to see us finishing our debt. I had a R2500 bill on march which I made arrangements, I have been paying, but every money I paid did not reflect even if I sent POP. I ended up paying close to R10 000. Even after paying that money I'm told to pay R2500 for them to get my name out of credit records. Why do I have to pay for them to remove my name?

I asked them to give me the settlement letter from their office but they refused. How does this it work? Am I not supposed to get the letter form them?
