In 2013, I had a problem with my 1993 VW Jetta.

The car did not want to go into 5th gear. I went to many workshops, and all of them said that my 5th gear was stripped and I had to get a new gearbox. As a varsity student with no real income, I was hopeless.

I went to Henco Service Centre, and I was told to pay upfront for the diagnostic. No other workshop had asked me to pay for a diagnosis. This was strange. I paid the money upfront, and Buks took my car in, this was at about 08:00. At 14:00 the amazingly friendly receiptionist calls me and says that my car is ready!

I didn't understand. Buks told me that there was only a bolt loose on my 5th gear, and that he fastened it.

If I had bought a new gearbox from another workshop, it would have cost me 4 x the price, and the workshop would have simply fixed my old gearbox and made clean profit from my ignorance.

Since then my 5th gear worked until I sold the car in 2015.

Now, I service my entire fleet of vehicles by Henco.
