UNJUST CUSTOMER SERVICE

In October 2019 my Toyota Conquest was booked in at Henco for an oil leak. I was quoted R26 911.62 by Hennie who was employed there at the time, he advised it was costly as the engine would be removed to locate the leak. After more than 3 weeks without a car I could fetch it. The petrol consumption going home was extremely high..it went back the following day, different reasons were given as to why this happened. The oil leak persisted. The car went back seven more times and each time I was assured the oil leak was a thing of the past. This was not to be. Then covid came. I was, after some months able to take the car back..The 9th time Hennie no longer worked there after 16 years...I now dealt with the owner Dewald. After the previous revisit there was a noise from the aircon belt area as well as the normal oil leak. On telling Dewald that he said he thought I was a lonely old lady that went to Henco for company, he also became abusive and swore at me using the "f" word. He went and checked the oil leak and said it smelt like gearbox oil. He kept the car for a further week and informed me that the leak was at the rear main seal and he had sealed it. The noise and oil leak persisted. I had a back door mechanic offer to fix it for R2400.00. I approached Henco for the money and they paid. I was advised to not do the back door repair and the car went to Superior Car Clinic. The oil leak was the input shaft seal on the gearbox. Total cost was R6008,00 minus R2400.00 paid by Henco the balance being R3608.00..I feel Henco needs to reimburse me with R3608.00 which would have had to have been paid by them had they sent the gearbox for the repair. I approached Dewald three weeks ago re the money and I was sworn at so violently the ladies in the office left the office. Please intervene on my behalf. Thanking you, Rose Rodger
