Worse Valentines dinner ever!

<p>After seeing an ad for the Valentines dinner (I think on the internet) at Hemmingway's Restaurant, Centurion we booked for the 14th at 19:00.</p> <p> </p> <p>We arrived just after 19:00 and was told that Hemmingways restaurant is unfortunately full and we will be seated elsewhere but not to worry – we will receive the same food.</p> <p> </p> <p>Our table was inside the restaurant that resembled a conference facility – very strong lighting, no music, no candles, no flowers, no red décor – very disappointing for a Valentines dinner.</p> <p> </p> <p>It soon became very clear that your company had a great response to the Valentines dinner adverti*****ts and could not cope. Our waitress was clearly untrained, removing plates with bread before we could finish it. We asked about music and a young manager asked us whether we had a problem with the music. There was none!</p> <p> </p> <p>The meal was extremely disappointing – two small slices of beef probably weighing 50 grams, and very little else. Having been in the restaurant trade it must have been a jackpot for you with food cost below 20%.</p> <p> </p> <p>The red velvet dessert was completely dry, obviously left under a heat source for too long and we didn’t even finish half of it. Our exciting romantic evening started at 19:15 and we were out of there by 20:10.</p> <p> </p> <p>This was without doubt the worse meal we have had in years in the worse Valentine atmosphere – a total rip-off at R700.00 a couple.</p> <p> </p> <p>Very disappointing.</p> <p> </p>
