Dissapointment all the way! Thanks Hemingways!!

We were at Hemingways restaurant,( the restaurant on the premises of Leriba lodge) for my 30th Birthday the 28th of Feb 2019.

My partner and I were very excited only to be **********ly disappointed. Firstly, the service was ****. There was no one to help us. Eventually we called the guy at the bar to please serve drinks as our waiter is no where. I don't know which wine I am drinking as it was just poured back stage and brought forward. The wine glasses on the table has chip marks on them and looked very old fashioned and out dated. This is a famous quality and star rated restaurant...why the hell are we here?.

We decided on the buffet. It is R280 per person, for a mediocre salad and bread as starter. Main meal was pap and sheba, carrots that my little sister could have cut better, (thick slices) sweet potato chunks, a weird concoction of dish with some bean and veg. And lastly chicken and sausage. It was absolutely devastating. I make this every once in a while at home( sweet potatoes and chicken and carrots). How is this a special dinner? How can this meal make any one come back for more? There was really nothing to look forward to. It was average, something I could make quickly at home. The desert was cold custard in glass containers with plastic wrapped on the top. A fridge desert that my mom always make which is pink(vrieskastert) and rollkoek? I mean really ?! And all this disappointment amounted to R700.00 and we only had the buffet (disappointing starter, disappointing main and disappointing desert and one drink each)

I am extremely disgusted with this experience on my birthday. I am still ****ed off !!!!
