Hem Engineering - beware contactor intimidates his clients

Company not recommendable. Quality of work not good. Company’s owner is Maans Hanekom. Herman Hanekom is Maans son. They mainly do steel work such as fencing, hand railings, staircases. etc. They also do construction. We did house renovations and appointed Herman to do construction work. Work was done on a very slow pace and often left incomplete. Eventually we made an agreement that if contractor (Herman Hanekom) does complete work by a certain time he would be relieved of his work and excess money will be used to appoint other contractors to complete work. A contract was signed in this regard. Herman Hanekom thereafter did not pitch up to complete the work. Other contractors were appointed to complete work and were paid with excess money. One week after completion, Herman Hanekom’s father, Maans Hanekom demanded that we pay him the excess money and has twice threatened to harm us if we do not pay him. Beware of this man - he is very aggressive and his emotions are unpredictable.
