DISGUSTING SERVICE OF A PUBLIC HOSPITAL

The service given to patients is absolutely atrocious. My 77 year old father was admitted after collapsing at home and vomitting blood, they did a scope and that was the end of it. He was discharged after a few days on 9th August - public holiday - with no medication. That very night he relapsed and we had to rush him back. On the Saturday he had to have emergency surgery because of excessive internal bleeding - only then did they start to take any notice of him or care for him. The operation saved his life and for that I am thankful to that one doctor. Whilst in ICU the care was impeccable but back in the ward - back to only doing the bare mimimum or even that. When we went to visit yesterday he was not in the ward and upon enquiring we were told "Oh maybe he's discharged, go check in the discharge lounge:" No phone call was made to us to tell us and we found him there - been waiting for hours. At least this time he was discharged with meds but no follow up date given. Why are these people in healthcare?
