BMW Motor plan
In 2012 I bought a new BMW X1 with a motorplan. Dec 2013 I had the first service done on 25000km as per the onboard computer. The onboard computer was duly reset by the garage indicating next service to be done in 25000km. In April 2015 service was done on 50508 km. Back home I discovered that the onboard computer indicated a \service"in 6000km. I contacted Helderberg BMW to enquire about this and was told that the rear break pads were to be replaced in 6000km as it was on 5mm and the motor plan only allows for replacement for 3mm or less. I did a 2000km trip and 06 May 2015 I took it to the garage and the break pads were replaced.
On collecting my car I was told that The car will have to be back in 6000km for the front brake pads as they were down to 5mm. When complaining to the service manager of the way my time was wasted for the sake of millimetres they simply advised that I should take this up with the BMW factory as the instructions come from them.
I would like BMW factory to explain this to me. I had 9 Mercedes cars"
