Heineken sells mislabeled (*****ulent?) Bains Whisky and does nothing about it

I bought a 1lt bottle of Bains Whisky on a "special" at Pick 'n Pay's liquor store at Willowbridge in October. When I got home, I noticed the bottle was the same size as the almost empty bottle I was replacing. When I checked, the bottle was labelled 1lt but it was actually a 750ml bottle. I returned the bottle to the store. The manager merely shrugged and said they had reported it to the supplier, to no avail. They had not removed the problematic bottles from their shelves, however!

I subsequently took this matter up with the supplier. Despite an online report 29/10/23, an email response to a request for further information on 31/10/23 and an email request from me for feedback 15/11/23, I have not had any response other than an initial "boilerplate" email to my complaint. I sent photos showing the batch numbers, the mislabelling and the identical bottle size. No response. One cannot but help wonder how much Heineken made selling 750ml bottles of whisky at the price of 1lt.

If they had any sense of corporate responsibility, they would donate all those inappropriately gained profits and more to a charity fully acknowledging how they came by those profits. I'm not holding my breath...
