I don't recommend this clinic
I don't recommend this clinic. FREE & VITAL info (listed below) for owners dealing with ringworm, a contagious fungus that survives 12-18 months in your home and can reinfect pets without drastic measures. Some vets at this clinic won't share the info; you'll likely get just a consult fee and Kyron ointment (R92/25g). Staff can be dismissive if questioned. My dog has had ringworm 3+ months; 3 calls here went to voicemail. PET NEEDS: Itraconazole (most effective), lime sulphur dip (2-3%), antifungal shampoo/cream/spray/tablets. Wear gloves, wash hands after. Continue until two negative fungal cultures (6-8+ weeks), not just until fur looks better. AT HOME: Vacuum daily, wash bedding/collars/brushes hot (over 60°C), disinfect with 1:10 bleach or enilconazole/peroxide spray, isolate the pet. People with a round, red, itchy patch should see a doctor: caught early, topical treatment works fast; oral meds needed for scalp.
