Severe injury due to negligence

I am not one to name and shame, but I have been suffering for almost two months due to the negligence of Heavenly Stables and I have not even received so much as a "sorry" from the company.

On the 31 December 2021 I obtained an injury in my ankle/lower leg as a result of the lead instructors negligence of allowing his horse to free roam to assist another customer on the outride as her saddle had not been put on correctly and began to slip. The instructor made the mistake of jumping off his horse to assist the client from falling off and as a result the leads horse bolted, my horse bolted and two other horses bolted. I was not able to stop this horse, and I brought this to the stables attention. I was simply told "The horse has separation anxiety so when his friends go, so does he." As a result, I was almost dragged by their horse.

I have had to go two to doctors, have X-rays, using a brace for 6 weeks and two days ago saw a specialist and had an MRI as my ankle is still very much injured. This ordeal has cost me, out of my own pocket, over R10 000.

Please don't tell me I signed an indemnity. Yes, I did. However, that does not allow for negligence on the companies side in terms of poor equipment, equipment not being put on correctly and horses that are not properly schooled.

You received your R500 from me for a disaster outride that could have cost me my life, and it seems I am not the first person to have an extremely bad experience with Heavenly Stables.
