I used Heatwave Randburg to refurbish and install my Bogen fireplace. Refurbishment was done fine, although I haven't used it yet. The evening after the installation the heavens opened and the water poured in a few meters from the newly installed chimney. I dealt with Carol who sent the team back. She then called me to say the problem did not emanate from the installation, but they did waterproof the section. Anyone who understands water will know that water runs to the lowest point and the source of the leak and the leak are usually not the same place. It still leaked. Dawie the owner eventually offered to come out but I was traveling that evening and could not meet him. They sent a different team out again after I returned. Dawie was busy then and did not come out. Same response from Carol-the leak was not their fault. This is a R5 million project with the roof being completely redone. My integrity was questioned by an *********** company. In addition, their accounts department misplaced my payment and I received a number of calls requesting payment. If Dawie the owner cannot value his customers, manage his sales staff, his installation team as well as his accounts department, he should not be in business.
