What warrantee??

on 5 May 2015 I had a Heat Tech geyser installed due to my previous geyser was leaking.
The geyser worked perfectly until that next Sunday 10 May 2015.
I woke up on Monday to cold water and went to work hoping it is ripple control due to load shedding.
I came home early to check on the geyser and the water was cold.
I called my plumber to report the fault and he came out the same day.
he identified that the thermostat has shorted and said that he cannot touch it due to warrantee issues.
He proceeded to log a call with the call centre. REF No SC09014
I received a call from Always on Call Plumbers who will be at my house the next day.
Marinda confirmed for 11:00 on 12 May.
The plumber arrived at 13:15 afer numerous calls to them
The claim was rejected due to tampering but a call was made to my plumber who assured me this was not the case.
No effort was made to prove it to me and the plumber has no manners in explaining it to me.
I am disgusted with the service and I sincerely hope my path never crosses Always on call or Heat Tech again.
I will gladly write a full report on the matter. Hello Diksmit,

With reference to the above.

Based on the information provided by AOC it was evident that the element terminals shorted/burned due to the thermostat being incorrectly inserted, by the installer, into the contacts of the element.

Unfortunately failure of the element or thermostat due to incorrect electrical connection is not covered by the warranty.

Regards,

Heat Tech
