Heat Tech Geyser - ABSOLUTE *******

A heat tech geyser was fitted to my property when we did renovations. Now, about 3 years later the geyser burst and was told warranty expired in 2018!!! Upon further clarification, Heat tech Geysers warranty starts from the date is it was manufactured and not when you fit and actually use the geyser.!!!!! I have never heard of such a *******. It makes no sense at all. So if their geyser sits on a shelf for 8 months before sold, the customer does NOT have a 5 year warranty. I am still trying to understand the logic in this. It is like a car manufacturer starting their warranty on a car before selling it...This is beyond stupid. NEVER buy their inferior products.
