Heat Tech Geyser

I purchased a new property in 2020 and moved in March 2021. All the necessary assessments which are done such as electrical assessments and plumbing assessments were done according to my knowledge and certifactes were issued.

On Wednesday the 20th of July 2022 my gyser burst. Which was installed in the property before I moved in.

I noticed on the gyser that it is still under warranty because of the sticker that was on it which clearly said "the gyser has a 5 year warranty". The tag on the geyser said it was manufactured in 2019.

I than called the Company which is the manufacturer of the gyser Heat Tech to report the incident. (21st/07/2022)

Heat Tech sent TN Plumbers on site to come and inspect the gyser.

I was not at home when the inspector came to inspect. He than called me to inform me that they are unable to change or repair the gyser because it was incorrectly installed. For me that was startling but I couldn't dispute it because I am bought the house as it was and I am not a plumber.

I than called my insurance to report the same incident.

On the same day 21/07/2022 my insurance sent Plumbers on site. When the Plumbers arrived they noticed that the company that was sent by Heat Tech took away the warranty tag from the gyser without notifying me as a client. Because of that reason they were unable to assist and had to communicate with Heat tech. The insurance Plumbers communicated with heat tech. Than Heat tech committed to replacing my gyser.

On the 23rd July 2022 I received a call from a different company called D&D Plumbers informating me that they have been assigned by Heat tech to come and replace my gyser. I told them that I am at home.

When they arrived ready to work they noticed that the warranty tag is not on the gyser. They immediately said they cannot work on the gyser because the tag is removed. I told them that it is their Collegues from TN Plumbers who took the tag away. They said I should called Heat Tech because in this case they are unable to go ahead with the job.

I called and spoke to a lady who said she is the manager in the client services department. I explained the whole scenario to her than she said the gyser cannot be replaced because they have voided the warranty. I asked her why than did they send these Plumbers. She failed to answer and asked to call me back in 5 minutes which she did not.

I am appalled and the pathetic service of Heat Tech as a company. How can a manager make a commitment of calling me back and that decided not to call me back. Heat Tech may you kindly replace my gyser. Your inconsistency in your service is not helping me instead it is inconveniencing me.

May you kindly honor your 5 year warranty promise.
