Faulty geyser: Heattech could not replace it
I had made a warrantee claim to have the faulty geyser replaced on Wednesday 5 September. Heattech's plumbing company requested for access to get to the geyser for them to replace it. Access was done on Thursday, 6 September (I have sent the photo to Heattech) by the body corporate of the complex.
The same day, your plumber declined to replace the geyser because they felt that the geyser was still not accessible (contrary to this there was access to the geyser as per the photo I sent to them). I was only informed around 4:30 pm that day after I had been assured whole day that the geyser change would happen the same day. I had to ask your plumbing company to leave the geyser at the complex. I then had to get another plumber to replace the geyser in the evening. I had paid R1470 for the geyser replacement.
I had received a shoddy and mediocre plumbing service the Heattech plumbing company on the two days (5/6 September). As a result, I had to incur unwarranted costs to the amount R1370. Clearly, there was no was no issue with access to the geyser.
I therefore telephonically informed Heattech that I would make the claim against the company. I was informed immediately that I will not get a refund. How can I be held liable for shoddy service by their plumbing company?
I have written to them and I will continue to pursue them. Just a warning to their potential customers this shoddy service they will expect when a warrantee issue arises.
