Healthy Living: Health Cooker

Payment went into account of Anneline Carstens Kraaifon.] A very personable young man came to my door with a sad story of not able to find a job because of his race. Now got a chance to earn enough points to be permanently employed by doing a high number of surveys on healthy living - dropping the name of the SA Heart Foundation and other respectable instances as being involved. Came with a bottle of wine as a gift for participating. I learnt a VERY EXPENSIVE LESSON and it is my duty to warn other prospective customers not to fall for this. The survey ended up as a demonstration of a so called Health Cooker, imported from Germany with a life-long guarantee. No user's manual or any pamphlet to back up everything that were claimed. The cooker was not even in a box. The warranty would be sent the next day (Office closed that day due to Covid-19). Best of all we discovered too late that the cooker was actually made in China!! On phoning the number on the receipt I was told the life-long warranty document would be emailed to me. And no, the cooker was manufactured in China but according to the German technology! Needless to say no warranty document turned up and no recipe booklet either. The latter probably only existed in Chinese. Also no such business in George as claimed. Because of all the hardship people are suffering due to Covid-19 regulations we are more vulnerable to fall for sad stories nowadays. But remain aware of ******** taking advantage of you. Nobody is ever going to enter my home again, whatever good cause or product they pretend to represent or sell.
