Healthworx will allow you to die slowly

I had an appointment with a doctor at Healthworx Cresta on 14 January, 2017. At the consultation, I requested that my 6 month prescription for chronic medication be renewed with Pharmacy Direct. I assumed that this was done.

However, it became apparent that it was neglected when I received a message at the start of February, 2017 from the Pharmacy Direct that the script had not been renewed. I then proceeded to telephonically contact the doctor. I was told by the Healthworx people that I would have to confer with the doctor's receptionist. The receptionist said that I needed to send an e-mail to Healthworx in order to get the script renewed. I sent the e-mail that day (14 February, 2017). I received an automatic confirmation e-mail that the message had been received.

I assumed (again) that the script would be renewed. On Wednesday, 15 March, 2017, I contacted Pharmacy Direct telephonically only to discover that they had not received the renewed script. I then contacted Healthworx again. This time, I was instructed by the doctor's receptionist to speak to a person who deals with scripts. I explained my predicament to the rather abrupt script 'clerk'. She assured me that the script would be sent that afternoon. The next morning (Thursday, 16 March), I noticed some missed calls from Healthworx on my phone. I promptly contacted Healthworx. This time I spoke to another script clerk. This clerk told me that the script was ready but had not been sent to Pharmacy Direct. I was now becoming frantic. She assured me that the script would be sent as soon as possible. Later, I contacted Pharmacy Direct who assured me that the medication would be couriered to me.

On Friday, I again contacted Pharmacy Direct. I was informed that the medication will only be delivered on Monday, 20 March! I guess the fact that I could become seriously ill in the interim is of absolutely no consequence to the fat cats at Pharmacy Direct.

This entire situation has evolved due the utter incompetence of the doctor and the (obviously) inept and intellectually challenged administration at Healthworx Cresta! These people are absolute idiots and really do not deserve to have food to feed their children and all the fabulous luxury holidays they obviously enjoy.

I went to Healthworx on Friday afternoon to lodge a complaint with the manager of the institution. As expected, the manager was on lunch at 15:30 in the afternoon. (Who has lunch at that time of the day?) No doubt, being shrewd and evasive, the manager was most likely having a pedicure at my expense!

Pharmacy Direct will not get off lightly from this rant either. Their total disregard for and neglect of their customers' wellbeing is morally offensive. I have been a customer of this company for many years, and seriously question their professionalism. It is quite amazing how they manage to stay in business when their only concern is for their own interests whilst their clients die in vain.

One thing is certain from this fiasco is that I will never return to Healthworx Cresta.
