Shocking

Would rate 0 stars here, they tell you to go to a netcare hospital which was done, and guess what the surgeon at that hospital is not covered. We pay so much money every month and don't even make use of the hospital plan now my mother needs to have a bunion operation which needs to be done as she cannot even walk properly and now it's issues and issues from Health Squared. They up your premium that's ok but cannot even cover you when you need it. Absolutely useless!!! DON'T USE HEALTH SUARED THEY ***** YOUR MONEY. YOUR HEALTH AND NEEDS ARE NOT IMPORTANT From Doctor "As a standard I charge the Discovery Classic Rates (200%) across the board. Healthsquared is one of many smaller insurance schemes which are happy to take your money for subscriptions every month, but will plead poverty and make exactly these requests to health care providers to reduce their standard rates when you, the patient, need something. My issues with this brand in particular stem from requests like this which I granted initially, but still resulted in delayed payment (sometimes 6 months) and a large amount of bad debt.

I can assure you that I am already 1/3 cheaper than most private orthopaedic surgeons (most surgeons in private charge 300% of NRPL as a minimum - many are between 400-600%). I'm afraid my response to their request is that my practice is not financially viable at a cheaper rate. I would suggest that you, as the subscriber to their plan, put your foot down with them and insist they offer you the coverage they have promised. "

This is shocking that you have such a bad reputation amongst doctors and clearly patients are not important to you !!!
