medical aid won't pay legitimate claim
Med aid number progressive flex 217689, NC von der Heyde. <br> On 12 March 2015 I went to the dentist for a check-up and he said I needed a crown and did the job there and then. I paid my dentist over R7 000.00 for a crown. Resomed paid only R464.00 back to me, saying I should have had pre-authorization. (I live 270 km away from the dentist (Underberg) and can't drive back and forth)<br> What is more, an amount of R2667.00 (the lab fee) was rejected by Resomed. This smacks of sheer wilful, obstruction due to lack of funds in the Scheme and is quite unacceptable. <br> 60 days later, despite frequent queries, the only advice I have had is that it has been sent to the dental support team for review.
