INCREASED CONTRIBUTION
I wanted to join Resolution Health last year in October. After a lot a red tape and paperwork I eventually was told to join Health Squared Medical aid. I completed the new forms and submitted them requesting effective join date to be 01/01/2019. I received a form from them where I was told that my contribution will be R1478. Come 5th January 2019 the debit order for R1478 went through no problem. On the 5th of February a debit order for R1854 was put through. I contacted the broker about the increased amount. I was informed that I short paid my contribution by R188 in January and therefore they recovered it in February together with the increased amount. I was not happy as I only joined from January. I signed a document for R1478 how can they in February tell me that the contribution increased.
I cancelled the medical aid. I want to go to the bank to reverse and dispute this debit order. I have been dealing with medical aids since 2002 and I also worked for a medical aid. I have never encountered such utter bad service in my life. The problem is that I am a pensioner who is receiving a government pension. I cannot afford this new contribution I never knew about.
