On writing to Hello Peter, I immediately started getting some response. I was advised to get medical details from my GP for the MA to make a decision & the MA will cover the cost of the consultation. Checking my accounts the payment has been made from my benefits. This must be reversed immediately.<br> A call centre agent informed me that the procedure has been authorised and that the MA will cover the entire cost except the catheter. I requested this in writing. The electronic authorisation covers only R4547 against a charge of R20754 which is only 22%.<br> The team leader gave me her direct line but has never taken a call from me since.<br> We have decided to forego the procedure done in private rooms and have another procedure done in hospital and hopefully the MA will carry the entire cost. That's what I pay medical aid fees for.<br> I have advised the MA accordingly.<br> I have further advised that the team leader and her agents improve their level of service to the members. It because of the members that they have a job.
