Billed while I have cancelled the contract.

I had a one year contract with Health Avenue for gymnasium, on application the consultant told me to cancel the contract I have to give a one month written notice to them. Then when I was nearing the end of my contract I wrote a cancellation letter which I had delivered to the premises that was in August 2014 then. Two weeks a go I got a letter of demand from their attorneys for not paying membership fees and I told them that I have cancelled which they have the letter and told me stories that I should have sent the letter by registered email something that I was not told when I was in their offices.<br> I went to Health Avenue to enquire about the letter of demand, the consultant knew nothing about it and confirmed that I have cancelled the contract, apparently it is the owner.<br> What ****es me off a friend of mine who is a lawyer who was working in King Williams Town warned me about this company and how the owner mistreat the members and in their law firm they have handled a problem of a person who was taken to court by Health Avenue. It did not bother me back then because I could not understand how that can happen not knowing a year later I will also be a victim.
