Refuse to cancel my contract after duration period

Hello Peter<br> <br> I have signed a 36 months gym contract with Alberton Health and Fitness Centre in 2009 and it expired in 2012 already, but they did not cancel it after the duration period. They claimed that I have signed a contract for a minimum period of 36 months and I must give them notice to cancel the contract. Sorry for them, a contract is a binding agreement by two parties for the period agreed on, which in my case was 36 months. I was out of the country and when I returned at the beginning of the year I confronted them in a professional manner, to cancel my contract with immediate effect and to reimburse for the amount the was **********ly debited from my bank account, but Jacky Barnard refused. Yesterday I received a text message from them that they are going to blacklist me, for a outstanding amount of R1600. So after I informed them in writing in January to cancel my expired contract they still refused to cancel my contract. I have personally cancelled the debit order at my bank. These people must be stopped, because I am not the only person who was ****med by this organisation.
