HBros. BIG NO! NO!

We have a couple of cottages that we rent out. We decided to go the prepaid electricity meter option. We installed our own meters and signed up with HBros. However we struggled to get regular monthly statements from them. As a result it was difficult to reconcile with Eskom. We became aware that some tenants were *****ing electricity but without these statements we were unable to show/prove this. It became so frustrating that we decided to move to Meterman instead. However, we needed access codes from Hbros in order for Meterman to access our meters. HBros refused to hand these codes over and they tried to hold us ransom to our meters. So we basically bought new meters and moved over to Meterman, who have been excellent with their reporting and service.

We then took HBros to the Small Claims Court and we won the case but when the sheriff of the court arrived at their branch, they changed the name. So they duck and dive and bend all the rules. They appear to have absolutely no integrity and from the games they play, it seems that they truly are old hats at being underhanded. We are still busy trying to have the Small Claims Court's ruling enforced.

What a schlepp though! Best to avoid doing any business with theses guys. ie anything to do with Hbros (in its various forms) and their directors: Nkateko Nicholous Hlaisi & Rirhandzu Austin Hlaisi. Best work with a more reputable company and people.
