Tax miscalculations and SARS penalties I had to pay
My husband and I used https://hbaccountants.co.za/ HB accountant as a tax practitioner and it was a terrible experience as my provisional tax calculations were often wrong so SARS issued several penalties they denied to pay so I had to settle them myself to be in good terms with SARS. (I have proof of this). The 2025 tax return I had to pay SARS a very high amount instead or receiving a return from them or breaking even because of their miscalculations and its been a very frustrating process. Please be careful when using them as they just want to get it done and they don't pay enough attention to detail and when calculations are not correct they wont pay for the penalties. I wont use them again.
