Haval - Unacceptable Service
We visited the dealership on 12 October 2021 and indicated that we would like to purchase the Haval H6. We were informed that there is a waiting list and we need to put down a deposit of R5000 to be placed on the waiting list (which we did) and that the new shipment will arrive in November.
We made it very clear that the car needs to arrive prior to my 30th birthday which is the 1st of December and that we need it for your December holiday. Haval Sandton indicated that it will not be a problem.
Mandy promised to send the quote the afternoon of the 12th. I followed up on the 13th and Mandy used loadshedding as an excuse for not sending it through. I should have know that it will be the start of a horrible service experience.
Mandy did not keep us updated on the progress, when the shipment would arrive or what is happening as was promised. It was like they forgot about us as soon as the money was paid.
We reached out to Mandy and Manie numerous times to ask for a status update. They indicated that the shipment will arrive on the 15th of November and I should have the car by the 25th of November.
Mandy phoned me yesterday to say that the shipment arrived and excitedly I asked when I will be able to receive the car. She then said the 29th of November. I was immediately upset as they kept pushing the date later and there was absolutely no continuous communication throughout the process.
I sent Manie a WhatsApp to complain about the additional delay. Instead of apologizing/clearing up the confusion he said he will cancel the deal and pay the deposit back. I still wanted the Haval I ordered and that arrived but before my husband could even have a conversation with Manie they already sold the car to someone else. So we wait for almost a month and within 30 minutes instead of finding out why we are upset they give the car to someone else.
They also indicated that my deposit will be paid back which eventually was without any accrual of interest. I followed up and was met with more rudeness, arrogance and empty promises, including the dealer principle who was confrontational and abrupt.
I sold my current car two weeks ago trusting that Haval Sandton will live up to their promise. I (and my four month old baby) are now without transport due to Haval Sandton behaving *********ly and arrogantly.
I truly hope that Haval South Africa condemns this type of poor service and is willing to rectify the situation as I do still want to purchase the Haval H6 but I cannot go onto another waiting list for months as I do not have transport.
The "Head" of so called customer service, Natalie then proceeds to emphasize the semantics on what Haval does and reiterates the process not once asking or considering the consumers point of view.
To date, no revert or contact has been made with us to try rectify the matter or in the principles of treating a customer fairly placing us in a similar or better position.
If the basics can't be met I can't imagine what the after sales service will be like, so happy that I won't need to be part of that.
Livid, Clint
