No Accountability, No Disclosure, No Resolution

I booked my Haval Jolion in for its 30,000km service at Reeds N1 City (Cape Town) in May 2025, flagging two issues in advance:

(1) A loud rattling noise from the passenger door (since the vehicle was purchased in 2023) (2) Screeching brakes (still under warranty) Despite written confirmation and prior verbal discussions with their team, neither issue was properly assessed or resolved. There is no record of a test drive, no clear technician report, and no diagnosis or brake inspection noted on my invoice. When I raised these concerns, I was met with silence or vague, non-committal responses.

The dealership’s service manager - GWM N1 City Cape Town - (Werner Malherbe) eventually dismissed my valid attempts at resolution by referring to my follow-up emails as “100 emails” — a tone that is both unprofessional and condescending. I escalated this matter to Haval South Africa’s Customer Services Department in early July 2025. I was assured it had been referred to the Dealer Principal and the Regional Aftersales Manager. To date, no response.

This isn’t just about poor service. It’s about deliberate avoidance, failure to disclose vehicle-related information I’m legally entitled to, and the apparent abuse of process. Without proper documentation, how am I to know whether my vehicle was misused while in their custody?

I will be escalating the matter and am preparing formal complaints to the appropriate commissions. Consumers deserve transparency and accountability. Unfortunately, I received neither from Haval or its representatives.
