New vehicle - poor quality

Bought a new Jolion Sport on 29 June 2023, Monday 27 Novembre my husband informed me that there is a whole in the driver side rubber. Phoned Haval West rand to report it. Advised Haval will be there on Friday 1 December - was informed that the warranty was not going to cover it as - it was scratched, I want to know how can a vehicle be 6 months old and the door rubber did not last, how did I scratch it - I am driving with slippers and not even shoes, very disappointed, I should have listened to people telling me be careful for Haval, now I need to sit with a damaged rubber, and you just say it is not wear and tear and not covered under the warranty. Really dissapointing
