DO NOT BUY HAVAL/GWM PRODUCTS!
DO NOT BUY HAVAL/GWM PRODUCTS! I brought my vehicle (P-Series) in for service (15k). After it had been assessed they had to replace the discs on the vehicle. The brake pads were fine but the discs needed to be replaced. After questioning them why it needed to be replaced they had advised that it possibly could be due to aggressive driving which I can assure you is not the case. The discs were replaced which was within warranty. Claim was processed and it was approved and the discs were replaced. When I brought van in for inspection as my steering had a shudder upon braking the same thing had happened. They informed me that discs need to be replaced again but pads still had life on them. Again they advised this could be possibly bad driving. If it was due to bad driving shouldn’t the brake pads also be in bad shape? Pads were still 50% and when I asked them if it was bad driving shouldn’t the pads also be in bad shape they kept quiet and didn’t say anything. They advised that it was out of warranty and I needed to replace at my cost. This is unacceptable. This cannot be due to driving. We shouldn’t have to be replacing discs twice over mileage of 30k. Further to this there were other faults: • Tailgate needed to be replaced. • Cruise control not working constantly. When I took it for inspection the mechanic came for a drive with me. When we left for the drive it did not work and then it worked. On and off. Mechanic insisted I was not using it properly which I then said okay I will try again. I now have videos of trying to use the cruise control which shows it is not working. • There is also a gear cable that needs to be replaced. I was told that there will be a claim sent through and I will be called for approval. This has gone 2 months now without a call back. Shaheer this is not on. I can understand things happening to an older vehicle but this van is not old. I shouldn’t have to pay for discs that are clearly inferior of quality.
