Shocking service from VW Hatfield Braamfontein branch

My VW Caravelle 1993 was towed to Hatfield VW Braamfontein to sort out all and any problems as water bottle damaged and needed a new water pump and clutch etc. This and other issues were eventually resolved after a month . On receiving the car back I was appalled at the lack of service and poor condition after spending +-R18k: 1)Inside not cleaned at all. 2)Petrol was on empty-just made it to Petrol Station. 3)Engine was covered in oil which I pointed out to the technician who eventually cleaned it and outside of the car after a 3 hour wait. 4)Timing erratic and runs poorly no t like it should. (Phoned technician who apologized and said that they don’t have co2 equipment to check the exhaust gasses to set timing correctly. I was warned by my daughter who has a Tiguan not to bother with VW but now I know better. I will now have to go elsewhere and spend more money to get my car running like it should and how I expected to get it back from Hatfield

My biggest frustration was not getting to lodge my complaint and speak to the right person.When I finally Spoke to the Gavin Le Roux the dealer principal he immediately arranged for his driver to fetch the Combi and said all will be resolved as they pride themselves with good service. He also arranged for the head mechanic Jonathan,to resolve any of my outstanding issues. The main reason the car was running badly was due to a faulty fuel injector which was replaced and the car runs much better now. The instrument panel was also sent away by Jonathan for repair as the Led overheating light was on permanently. Other small issues were resolved as well. I am now totally content and satisfied with the repairs done and attention given by Jonathan.
