I smell a rat

One star, because there isn't a lower score to choose. I've been driving VW for 30years, but Hatfield VW Bryanston, was the worst expreince ever. Two weeks ago we enquired about a VW polo for my son's 21st, as was advertised for R299 900. We decided to apply for finance through VW Finance. After two days they came back with a ridiculous interest rate, which we declined. They kept telling us that everytime we ask for another quote, our credit score is negatively affected and the interest rate will increase, so we must take the deal NOW. So everytime they came back, it was a higher interest rate. We decided to apply for our own financing through FNB(also VW Finance) and within 5min it was approved at a great interest rate. When we enquired this morning whether the car was still available, we were told: Yes, but when we told them we will conclude the deal this afternoon, they came back and told us that the car is now R309 900, because we aren't using their in-house VW Finance deal - and this after they formally quoted me at R209 900? What is the relationship between the dealership and the finance house??? You don't deserve to carry the VW flag!
