Just before my trip to Botswana and Namibia, I requested Hatfield Motors to help me release the stubborn gear box fill in plug and change the oil. After When driving I noticed oil dripping. On approaching them I was told that they could not release the fill in plug, so they had to fill up the gear box with oil from the top through the gear levels. They explanation was to force open the gear box fill in plug and drain the excess oil. Once this was done there was no excess oil dripping from the gear box fill in hole. They assumption was that all excess oil had been drained. Later as the problem persisted and they closed for holidays, I consulted a gear box workshop only to find that there was no oil in the gear box, but the transfer case was over flowing with oil, reason for the dripping. On approaching Hatfield Motors explaining and requesting a refund, I was told that they would not refund me, because it was my fault and I was not welcome to set foot on they workshop again. Only when I requested them to call the gear box place that correct the situation, and I asked them to consider between a seized gear box bill or my refund, they agreed. Atrocious customer services.
