Lack of options for cash customers compared to insurance claims

Was not happy with with after quote options. I paid for the quote and could not afford everything in the quote and asked for paint job only quote update but my request was not attended till today. If my requst was not possible it was okay to clarify that without silent treatment unless my request is against standard mechanic practices I can understand but expected more than silent treatment.
