First Year Wedding Anniversary Ruined.... And no reply from anyone....

My husband and I had a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE on the Sunday Lunch Cruise. It was our 1 year Wedding Anniversary and all we wanted was a nice relaxed Sunday Lunch on a boat, sitting at a table with chairs and listening to nice music with good food.... As advertised by the pictures on the website....

But instead this was our experience... As we got onto the boat no one explained where to go, so we just automatically went upstairs and then one of the waiters ran after us to ask how many people we were and asked us to go downstairs... so we went downstairs and couldn't believe how we had to sit.... Around the side of the boat on uncomfortable chairs.... Not very romantic at all!!!

The starters were then put in front of us and I had to get up to go find the side plates and butter knives which were placed randomly around.

The captain then tried to get everyone's attention by speaking on top of the microphone so that he was so ****led... we could barley hear what he was saying.

We were already thinking of getting off at this time before the boat started moving, but there was beautiful romantic music playing so I said to my husband, lets stay for the music and scenery. After the boat started moving the music changed to 'kwaito' ... I thought to myself... OK this is not ideal... but maybe it's only this song and then it will change to easy listening music again.... IT DIDN'T!!!! I started crying (probably the pregnancy hormones) as I was stuck on a boat with uncomfortable chairs listening to music I can't stand....

It was then time to dish up food... We sat right by the food, but the people upstairs were asked to serve first (they seemed to have preference over everyone else it seemed)... because we were in such an awkward place to try get into the LONG line we thought we would just wait. When the time came for us to dish up nothing looked appetizing anymore, so we just left it.... The waiter didn't even notice that we didn't eat anything... so again we felt so 'special'....

I then got up to ask the captain if he could change the music as it was really just unpleasant for us.... He said he can't as he is playing for the majority of the crowds.... So just because we were in the minority we don't get any say??? What was the point of us even being on this boat in the first place???

Why couldn't someone let us know that there was going to be a big party and that they were the only important people??? The groups of people were big so it didn't even matter what music was playing as they weren't paying much attention anyway...

I was so upset the whole of yesterday (26 November 2017) and could not believe that we wasted our money, petrol, time and our First Wedding Anniversary!!!!!

I have emailed this email to the company twice and phoned... only to be told it was forwarded onto the manager... It is a new year and I am still waiting for any form of reply from the "manager"....
