Harcourts Dunn Lies

The people at Harcourts Dunn are such a disgrace. We moved in Kenridge around 18 of May 2020 and the agent told us that the maintenance will be done 2 months from then as it was during the hard lockdown which we understood. 5 months went by and no maintenance, we started complaining and the first maintenance was done in January 2021 and that is only because we got a lawyer to help us end the contract. We couldn't end the contract because Harcourts said that even though the landlord didn't do maintenance for month he is not in breach of contract so we stayed.

please take note that out of a list of about 20 things the landlord needed to repair he only repaired like 3 of them and the director of Harcourts said to us and I quote "You cannot force the landlord to repair everything on that list, he will repair what he deems fit" and he also told me that he will make sure we are not charged for repairing things that was broken when we moved in.

The contract ended the 02 of May and Harcourts want us to pay R17000 for maintenance ?? to repair the items the landlord didn't repair, this is ridiculous we stayed in that house for 11 months without maintenance complained for 7/8 months about it now we must pay R17000 for maintenance ridiculous.
