Harcourts & Dunn (Kraaifontein)

The most horrible , unprofessional and ridiculously Rental Agency, We rented from them a flat in Viking Villas in Kraaifontein for my Mother in law, she has been there for 3 years and for the duration of her stay we have never paid the rental late, however they sent an invoice charging us for inspection fee of a R500 to which they claim my mother wasn't there for them to do the inspection, After receiving the a letter of demand emailed in August this year from a Mariska Theunissen, I rep**** by asking what these penalties are for, she never rep**** on my emails, after calling 3 times leaving messages for her no response, tried one more time and then only she came up with some type of story that my email had gone into her spam folder etc, Then at the end of November my Mother had to vacate the flat, the inspection was ridiculous, every single thing in the flat dirty according to them the lady whom is a freelance inspector according to her when my husband asked if she worked for Harcourts, she said no comment her name is Jean-Marie Perold and carried on the inspection took photos of the little goggas flying around and commented that on the inspection sheet!! They now saying we defaulted on the inspection and gave us a quotation of 14K to clean and to paint a 1 bedroom flat how ridiculous, and when we used our own painter they faulted on that as well, the main thing with them is that they do not like to pay the deposits back!! lastly I spoke to a Grezelda Schefferlie today 4 December 2023 asking her can she let me know when we will be getting the deposit back and if we are getting a portion back after sending the inspection to us via email twice, she tells me we need to wait for her to get the quotations back and then while talking to her she puts me on hold!!!! and never came back to the call.. This Agency is out to milk landlords and tennants by being ridiculous with their fees, they don't return phone calls and emails, and they ignore you point blank when you call them for information!!!A stop needs to be put to this Agency and it's agents as they have no regard for the people that brings them Rentals . Please Please do not use them for any Rentals or to sell your property through them they are rude, and unprofessional! and are just out to take peoples money!! Especially the Kraaifontein Branch
