Mostly horrific experience

We booked this hotel about a month ago , the pictures all looked in order and perfect to sleep as we would be out all day doing activities. As we arrived at this place there was no parking available so we parked a street away to go and check in , we were seen by unprofessional staff that said they have undercover parking for R150 a night and we were going to be there for 6 nights , nowhere in my booking did I receive this information so now our car is parked a street away and this area does not look secure at all . When we went and fetched all our luggage ourselves we were told that someone will have to come up with us to open the door so we took an elevator to the 5th floor and had to walk two flights of "*****" stairs I say this because if you had walked through this place you would not believe it's still open . We were only helped to the room because they could not offer us a key of our own due to some system offline so now I must leave my valuables in a room that people can just access? I was told I'd get a key in the morning and I overlooked over all this in hope it'll get better. We got to the room it is really not what you see on the website it looks like a cheap motel the music from the night clubs near by can be heard in your room clearly, the room had an awful stench. I didn't even want to sit on the bed , the ceilings looked like it was going to fall on us . Immediately I went online and looked for another accommodation this was after midnight should I add , because we only checked in after 11 pm . I managed to find a place and a very accommodating lady at a BNB nearby , we took our luggage and proceeded downstairs as we got down the two staff members that were there just asked if we leaving I said yes and can I speak to a manager he said he can give me a number but there is a no refund policy! I said I'm well aware but there is no way I am staying here and I paid a full amount and not getting compensated back. They were not helpful they didn't say a word to me after that ,my fiance when to get the car I waited at the reception we loaded our bags and off we went and got the best treatment well after hours at the new accommodation. This place is absolutely unacceptable From the staff right down to the place itself it's honestly something you would use for one night out of desperation. I paid almost double on accommodation now due to not even being in that Hotel longer than 20 minutes and inclusive of this new place not to mention the inconvenience of driving that hour of the night in a place we haven't been before.
