Happy Pay’s system is utter nonsense

Happy Pay’s system is utter nonsense. They fail to send correspondence when a payment is unsuccessful and when you finally get a chance to update your card details, they had already charged over R600 in a late payment fee. Communication is definitely not key with Happy Pay and they do not respond to client queries. Never will I ever use Happy Pay again and I’ll ensure that those around me don’t use it aswell.

Thank you for your feedback.  We’d like to clarify how our late fee structure works and the steps we take to keep our customers informed:
  • A  late fee is charged 24 hours after a missed payment.
  • If payment is still not received, a second late fee is charged after 8 days.
  • A third late fee is charged after 15 days of non-payment.

We believe in proactive communication. That’s why:
  • We send a reminder SMS and/or email before the payment is due.
  • If a payment fails, we send follow-up notifications to inform you and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue before further fees are app****.
These fees are outlined in our terms and conditions . If you're facing any difficulty with payments, please don't hesitate to reach out — we're here to help.

Kind Regards
Happy Pay Team
