Happy Holiday Homes Shelly Beach **********ly keeping deposits

We stayed in Carrick a Rede in Manaba,(South Coast) in January and we booked it through Happy Holiday Homes in Shelly Beach. When we arrived at the flat, the kitchen was beyond DIRTY! I had to clean the fridge with the previous people's food (they lived in Carletonville since all the food came from Carletonville butchery and Carletonville Spar) still in the fridge. The crockery had food stuck on the sides. The black bags of the previous people was still in the courtyard with ******* lying outside the bags, the BAD SMELL was overwhelming! Not even to mention that we could not use the outside shower coming from the sea, because of the black bags. During our stay we broke a chair and replaced it with a better chair, to make sure we don't lose our deposit since we have heard that the letting agents always finds a reason for them not to pay the deposit back. I send Adele Gedye an email as soon as we got back to tell her about everything. After almost 4 weeks we phoned to get the deposit, Adele said they didn't have my banking details to pay the deposit back. Needless to say, a month after our stay, Adele sends me an email to say sorry, we broke stuff and they are keeping our deposit. Photo's with broken plugs etc. Really??? I am convinced that they kept the deposit of the people staying before us, also claiming the same broken stuff. Also Lance Sean du Plessis sent me an email to say they are so sorry to hear about the state of the flat but they have to keep my deposit. What about a refund for me cleaning the flat I paid for to be clean? What about us living with the black bags and the smell. I really do think that they keep people's deposits with false claims, DO THE MATH.... R500 x ..... Easy way of making money without any one saying anything...
