Online Shopping Drama
A month ago I ordered a cordless Bosch planer from the Hansetools online store trading on the Amazon platform. The planer is supp**** in a Bosch L-Boxx. The box arrived damaged. I wrote to the supplier (supplying photographs) telling them that the box had a vertical crack and a hole through the side. The supplier offered a measly 10 euro discount - this for a box that sells for 50 odd euros. I insisted on a replacement. The supplier insisted on the return of the box before a replacement would be sent. I told them that postage would be expensive but the seller insisted on its return. The post office confirmed that postage would indeed be 67 euros. The seller relented on his demands for the damaged box to be returned. Weeks have now gone by and my replacement has not arrived. Today I am told that they have no stock and that I shall have wait at least 3 more weeks. I have two issues with this - how can a seller offer goods for sale if they cannot replace said goods if they arrive damaged and why should the onus be on the customer to follow up on a company not fulfilling it's side of a sale agreement? This is poor and unprofessional service and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
