Disappointing Conveyancing Process – Slow Responses and Rejected Lodging

I am extremely disappointed with the service from Hannes & Gouws Conveyancers. The conveyancing process has been handled very poorly — everything has been unnecessarily slow, and to make matters worse, the lodging was rejected, which has delayed the process even further.

Their response to emails and requests for information is also extremely slow. As clients, we have the right to know what is happening with our matter, yet updates are not provided timeously and communication is frustratingly lacking.

Buying or selling property is stressful enough without having to constantly chase for answers. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Hannes & Gouws Conveyancers and would advise others to be cautious before using their services.

We would like to sincerely apologise for the frustration and inconvenience you have experienced. We take your concerns very seriously and regret that the process has caused you additional stress.

The staff member who previously dealt with your transaction has since left our employ, and we apologise if this change contributed to any delays in reporting and communication with you.

With regard to the recent rejection of the transaction in the Deeds Office, kindly note that this was not due to any errors on our documents, but due to notes raised on the documents lodged by the bond attorneys. We liaised with the bond attorneys and have been advised that their documents were re-drafted, re-signed, and sent to their Cape Town correspondents. The transaction will be re-lodged in the Deeds Office immediately once the re-signed bond documents are received by their Cape Town correspondents. Please be assured that your transaction and your business are very important to us. We are committed to keeping you updated as progress takes place, and we will advise you once the matter has been re-lodged.
