Attention: Your safety matters! Do not purchase Hankook Tyres. Recently, while driving on a dangerous highway, I received a notification that my rear left tyre was losing pressure. Within seconds, the notification turned into a warning of complete pressure loss. After inspecting the tyre (a run-flat), I found nothing wrong. However, when I called BMW on call, the tyre was removed by their representative who then showed me that the wires of the inner side had come through the tyre due to a manufacturer's defect. A few days later, I met up with a sales representative for the company. The representative then had the tyre assessed, and claimed that the repair to the tyre had caused the wires to move. It's important to note that these wires are in-between layers of rubber and are not meant to come loose. After we spoke with a spokesperson from the company Treads Unlimited, they claimed that the wires had come out because I continued driving on the tyre. But, as it was a run-flat tyre, customers are meant to use it in precisely such situations. Therefore, I advise everyone to stay clear of Hankook Tyres as the company does not take responsibility for their factory defects. Your health and safety should not be taken lightly. Additionally, I strongly recommend that BMW South Africa consider exploring other tyre brands. The handling of this situation reflects poorly on the company's reputation. Furthermore, during my discussion with the salesman, they informed me that the tyres were old. However, it's worth noting that the tyres were manufactured towards the end of 2019. To verify this, I even cut open the tyre and found no evidence of wires that had moved, as they are all securely placed between layers of rubber
