Extremely Disappointed – Poor Quality and Unreliable Service I’m deeply disappointed with both the service and product quality from Handmade in Malawi. I placed an order after receiving an explicit confirmation from Nicolene that delivery would be made within a week. Despite this assurance, the item was repeatedly delayed — each time with a new excuse: staff not coming to work, the tables being too large to process, or other logistical issues. Every promise that the order would be dispatched “that same day” turned out to be untrue. After finally insisting on a refund or immediate dispatch, I was eventually provided with a waybill number. When the Bamileke tables arrived, they looked nothing like the photographs on the website. The workmanship and finishing are extremely poor, and the so-called “natural” colour is far more yellow and artificial-looking than described. Overall, the experience has been frustrating and disappointing. The tables are unsuitable for indoor use and will now be relegated to the patio. I would strongly suggest considering one of their more reputable competitors — even if it costs more — for far better quality and reliability. Not recommended.
