Don't use this company

A bunch of ***boys. When we complained, the owner of the company (who was NEVER on site) refused to come and see our issues and snags list. When we sent the snag list they requested more money. The job was amateur & we now need to employ more contractors to repair the damage they have done. Stay away for this company!

Hi Justine,

while I appreciate that you've taken the time to type it, I believe your review is inaccurate, and misleading, for a number of reasons;

1. There is nothing inherently wrong with being a ***boy. I believe you're referring to the stereotype that ***boys are reckless, dishonest, *********, and ***ardly. I assure you, we are none of those things.

2. There is nothing inherently wrong with the owner of a building company not going to a particular site. I trust my team, and in particular, my project manager, Jonathan. He is competent, and reasonable, and it is my experience that if a client cant reach an agreement with him, they wont reach one with me.

3. I did not refuse to come and see your issues and snag list. I asked that you send them to me, and when you did, I directed Jonathan to return to site to address. I'd like to point out that some of the items in your snag list are outside our work area, and have nothing to do with our completed scope of work.

4. We requested more money because we have already done more work than was outlined in our original quote. This work was done to accommodate you, at your request. We are more than happy to accommodate clients, but we cannot always do so for free.

5. We were instructed by Richard, who I assume is your husband/partner, to not return to site.

4. None of your snags have anything to do with the core aspects of the project, they are ancillary, and relatively easy to address. The likely outcomes of these works were discussed with you before the completion of the project. We do not take responsibility for a clients inability to understand basic realities of building processes.

To conclude I'd like to outline the timeline from project completion to your submission review;
1. Project completion - Friday 12 Nov.
2. Client snag list sent to me - Friday 12 Nov.
3. Jonathan agreed to return to site on Monday 15 Nov, pending payment for additional work already completed.
4. Client instruction "Don’t bother coming back." - Saturday 13 Nov.

I believe this timeline makes it very clear that you have no interest in reaching an amicable resolution, and would rather publicly deride a service provider than pay for services rendered. To be clear; we have not absconded from the site, while there are one or two small, simple things that can be addressed, which we are happy to do, the project is complete, and we expect to be paid.
