Hames Movers dishonest.

I must be the client that fell through the cracks! I chose Hames because of their stellar reviews on Hellopeter. My move was from JHB to CT, well, my experience was the total opposite of the other reviewers. First off I give them a star because they did indeed arrive on time to do the packing I had paid for. however I was told that they could not acquire the packing and protective materials for my goods so they would make an effort to load the truck carefully. The truck looked like it was fresh of a destruction-derby which raised my concerns for my goods arriving safely on the other side. Enock guaranteed me that his team would meet me at the new address while I travelled overnight. I give them the second star for arriving in CT on time! However on arrival it was clear that my wife and I were going to be unloading the truck ourselves after our overnight drive, since there was no team provided to unload. This gave us the opportunity to discover all our goods had been pressure washed courtesy of mother nature and the truck trailer that looked like a sieve. Furthermore the "careful" packing had lead to damaged goods due to no protective packaging. Lastly after many, many, many emails and attempted phone calls, Hames advised that I have the goods repaired and the invoices sent directly to Hames Director William Wease. Currently 6 months down the line and no invoices have been paid out, Hames does not take any of my calls or e-mails. Don't let the polite manner fool you into thinking the service will be good!
