Horrible service!

<p>On the 28th of April I moved out of a property that I had rented with Hall Real Estate. The inspection was done on the same day by Rethabile Mothokho (the agent) and I. After the inspection she advised me that my deposit would be paid after 7 working days.</p> <p> </p> <p>On the 7th working day, 8 May 2017, I contacted Rethabile via sms enquiring about my deposit and she informed me that the deposit would be paid by their office by Wednesday (10 May 2017). The following day she texted me asking me to confirm my banking details which I did.</p> <p> </p> <p>On Wednesday, I contacted her enquiring about the deposit and she told me that payments are usually processed by their offices after 15:00. The following day (11 May 2017) I contacted her again via sms requesting proof of payment and she said she would send it once she got home.</p> <p> </p> <p>Friday, 12 May 2017, I still did not have my money or the proof of payment so I sent an email to Rethabile and demanding an explanation. Her reply on the 13th of May was that my deposit was paid to the landlord and he would pay it back once he was happy with the condition of the property. I was livid because at no point had she mentioned this to me, I had never even dealt or met the landlord, the deposit was paid into Hall Real Estate's account and not the landlord.</p> <p> </p> <p>I enquired with two more people at the agency and they tried to assist but also mentioned that the deposit was paid into the landlord's account. On the 16th of May, I emailed Chris Morris, the CEO, compalaining via email and he also confirmed that the deposit was with the landlord and he would enquire with the rental team and revert. I foloed up via email on the 17th but I still do not have a reply or my money back.</p> <p> </p> <p>It has been 15 working days and my deposit still has not been paid and it is very frustrating. The team at Hall Real Estate have not gone out of their way to assist me instead all I ever seem to do is chase after them.</p>
