Hall Auto Electrical Port Elizabeth - RED FLAGS
I would definitely not recommend this business to anyone. when I took my car to William I needed a gasket to be replaced, my clutch to be replaced and a service.
I asked William to please send me photos and videos of everything that he worked on and fixed as due to my past experiences with mechanics. I asked for communication through out the time my car was there.
There was very poor communication from his side, the calling and constant asking for feedback and communicate was a struggle. then there were extra charges required, I asked numerous times to please get back to me on the extra charges but never got a answer that I needed to drive there to get a answer. A week later I receive my car , The day I received it there were further issues with my car, that my car could not drive faster than 10km , no one could answer on this and no one took responsibility . I then had to get my car towed to another mechanic who tried to figure out what was the problem. I was told by the second mechanic that when he went though my car he noticed that plugs were not replaced that should have been done in the service and he then replaced that leading me to pay more on something that should have been done. Then it was also brought to my attention that with fixing the gasket the cam belt was tampered with and not put on properly, so the cam belt has been pushed away from the motor off of the pully. This mechanic advised me that he does not want to work on someone else work that has fault and I need to take it back to the William... So today I took my car back to William seeing as he blocked me on whatapp I went there and he was not there, I spoke to another gentleman who is his brother that called William and advised him of my issue to get told that he never touched my cam belt in order to work on the gasket. as well as there was missing bolts on a cover , when I asked about that I was told when they got the car they were already missing .. hence going back to my statement this is why I had asked for a full detailed communication on everything that was done .. now I am sitting between he said .. she said and the blame is going back to the previous mechanics... if those bolts were missing why did William not communicate that with me so that now when I come back with issues he is pointing fingers at everyone else but him. I then after this visit stopped at another mechanic for a 3rd opinion where I too was told that a mechanic typically needs to interact with the cam belt when replacing a head gasket. William is taking no accountability for this issue and said that he never touched the cam belt when in fact, the head must be removed to access the gasket and the timing belt/ cam belt is located in the area of the cylinder head.
So with that, I would never ever recommend Hall Auto Electrical & Mechanical Repairs work on your vehicle.
