Halifax bank England, don't invest from abroad.

To anyone thinking of investing in Halifax Bank in England, think twice. I have been dealing with them for 2 years trying to get the interest on an investment paid to an account that they have previously used. They insist on posting the cheque to South Africa and refuse to make a direct deposit or courier. Anyone in South Africa will know that you cannot post anything let alone a large cheque. As was to be expected, someone then **********ly tried to close the account and access the large sum. 2 years later and the complaints department at Halifax are now even more confused and dont seem to have a record of my financial proxy on my mother's account and don't seem to even have grasped that this is my mum's account and keep refering to it as my late sister's account. God help me! as no one at Halifax bank seems to be able to. Don't invest in Halifax bank from abroad. And if you ever have to deal with their complaint's department, allow at least a year and a half and in my case, more.
