Worst dealership you can deal with

I’m at a total loss for words with how this dealership has handled and destroyed everything for me. I brought them a vehicle in the first week of October at which point over a space of 3 months I authorized a brand new engine, brand new gearbox and a brand new torque converter. For all intents and purposes this car was supposed to be refreshed mechanically. They managed to seize the new engine around March 2026 and have not been able to resolve this since. I do not recommend Toyota as a brand nor do I recommend this dealership in any light. I have lost my job because of these people and believe me when I say they do not care.

Excellent Service

We recently purchased a new vehicle from Toyota Halfway and had the anti-smash-and-grab film, radio, and central locking installed by Accessory Zone 4x4 Centre, as these were not standard on the vehicle. Shortly after the installation, we noticed a small issue that needed attention. From the moment we contacted Toyota Halfway and Accessory Zone 4x4 Centre, their response was exceptional. They acted immediately, and to our surprise, we didn't even have to take the vehicle back to them, they came to us and resolved the issue quickly and professionally. What impressed us even more was that the owner of Accessory Zone 4x4 Centre personally contacted us to ensure everything had been taken care of and that we were completely satisfied. That level of customer care is rare and truly appreciated. We would like to commend both Toyota Halfway and Accessory Zone 4x4 Centre for their outstanding professionalism, prompt response, and commitment to customer satisfaction. It's refreshing to deal with businesses that genuinely stand behind their workmanship and go the extra mile for their customers. We highly recommend Accessory Zone 4x4 Centre and Toyota Halfway to anyone looking for quality products backed by exceptional after-sales service. Thank you for an outstanding experience!

Bad Service

I had a very disappointing first-time experience with them when I took my car in for a service. The person who assisted me told me he had checked and confirmed that my car was not covered by insurance, so I paid cash. The next day, I contacted ABSA to verify this, and they told me that my car is covered and that the dealership should have been able to pick this up on their system because they work together. I went back to request a refund and asked them to contact my insurance. The refund I received was not the full amount, and no one explained why. On top of that, the service form they gave me stated that they had replaced my car key battery — yet my car still shows a warning that the key battery needs to be replaced, even though they claimed it was “new.” Overall, I was not happy with their service, and I don’t think I will be going back.

Service Concern

I refer to my written complaint lodged on 02 February 2026 regarding the service conducted on my vehicle by Halfway Toyota Honeydew on 17 December 2025. The complaint was initially directed to Mr. Van Rooy on 02 February 2026 and was subsequently escalated to the Service Manager, Mr. Benadie. On 03 February 2026, Mr. Benadie requested my contact number, which I provided on 04 February 2026 as requested. To date, I have not received any further communication from him or from Toyota regarding this matter. I am very disappointed with the level of service I have received in this matter.
